I’ve had enough, but we’ve come this far.
We may as well watch the sun come up.
I’ve got nowhere else to be.
And life seems so much better being on the run.

It’s been 10 years since we’ve turned 18 and the world hasn’t turned out exactly how I thought it’d be.
But there’s a bit of comfort knowing,
that we’re going through the same things.

Caught up, 6 feet above, defining what it means to be free and young.
But it’s hard to love anyone else, when lately I don’t even like myself.
Sometimes you’re better off, to dance with the devil than cry for help.
Cause every now and then we all need to do those things that are good for the soul.

Yet to settle down, still waiting for the one,
But that’s pretty hard to find when you’re still looking for yourself.
As I’m getting older, my little circle’s getting smaller,
But it’s more than enough.

Aint it funny how everything worked out.
So many memories from growing up in this small town.
Are our names still on the water tower?
We made it out despite everything.

Aint it funny how things could be different.
Small decisions became so significant.
So many times, that we took for granted.
Looking back on everything, I wouldn’t change anything.

Ain’t it funny how, I still think about.
Growing old in this small town.
Time’s pulled us separated ways.
Maybe we’ll make it back someday.

 For now I’m sitting here by myself, hands on the steering wheel,
Caught in nostalgia, out the front of my parents’ house.
Thinking aint it funny how those lives feel like, someone else's now.

It’s like I’m in a different life.
And I’ve been smiling; from the moment we met.
I picture us all old and grey. A morning Coffee every day. laughing on the balcony.

Always I’ll stay.

Every day I open my eyes, you are my sunrise, only star in my sky.
You the dream that I always knew, I’m falling into, forever with you.
I’m loving you for a lifetime.

I’ll hold you through the thick and thin.
I even love our arguments.
There is nothing I would change, even all the silly games. I adore you everyday.
